“An Irondequoit Catholic school that teaches preschool through fifth-grade students will close in June, according to a letter sent out to parents on Friday.
St. Kateri School, which first opened in 1957, will close due to dwindling enrollment trends, Father Lance Gonyo said in the letter. Data included in the letter shows that total enrollment has decreased from 196 in the 2018 to 2019 school year, to 115 for the current 2024 to 2025 school year.”
