Routine Educational Follow-up Visits

Once an evaluation is completed, that might be it. The family reads over the results, a copy is typically sent to the physician involved.

For many families, however, a key component of a child or adults care is the scheduling of routine follow-up educational consultations. At these visits, the individual’s overall treatment plan is reviewed and if necessary changes are made to ensure the individual is making progress on their treatment goals. This information is gathered on a regular basis from parents and school teams so that decisions can be made on the basis of actual data derived from these sources and from a variety of data sources.

These follow-up visits are often scheduled initially on a three or four month basis.  They may then quickly move to once or twice a year follow-up visits.
