The New York State Education Department (NYSED) Office of Special Education (OSE) has issued guidance to inform considerations and decision-making regarding the requirements and approaches to ensure the provision of a free appropriate public education in the least restrictive environment and address the social, emotional, and academic needs of students with disabilities.

The guidance is available on the OSE’s Special Education Resources and Guidance related to Coronavirus (COVID-19) webpage in three separate memoranda:
