“The Rochester City School District approved a $1.1 billion budget for 2025-2026 on May 12.

According to the board, the budget places a tremendous emphasis on providing an improved educational program for students.

The budget focuses on several initiatives, including decreasing short- and long-term suspension rates, decreasing chronic absenteeism, increasing English language arts and mathematics proficiency in grades 3-8, and continuing to enhance district-wide curricula.”
