Victor schools incident part of trend, experts say

The malware attack on Victor Central Schools that encrypted systems and data — locking out users and forcing the closure of all district schools last week —proved to be highly destabilizing, according to Superintendent Tim Terranova.
“This attack was bad. It really did cripple a lot of our data,” Terranova said at a press conference Thursday afternoon, which provided updates on the situation.
