Penfield School Superintendent Thomas Putnam has been hired as the new leader of Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES, replacing longtime superintendent Jo Anne Antonacci.
Putnam announced his resignation in a letter to district families June 26, but the district did not announce his departure to the general public until a school board meeting Tuesday night. It takes effect Aug. 31, the day before he begins at BOCES.
