The OSEP Fast Facts on educational environments of school aged children with disabilities highlights the environments in which children with disabilities receive special education and related services. The OSEP Fast Facts addresses the education environment of the percentage of students with disabilities receiving Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) Part B services by factors such as race/ethnicity, disability category, services received in separate schools, and services received in parentally placed private schools. According to the Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services blog, the OSEP Fast Facts show 66.17% of all school aged children served under Part B of the IDEA, received services inside a regular class 80% or more of the day.
OSEP Fast Facts is an ongoing effort to display data from the 12 data collections authorized under IDEA Section 618 into graphic, visual representations with the intent to present 618 data quickly and clearly.
