NYSED guidance on Student disenrollment

  • The Office of Student Support Services has received several inquiries from schools and districts regarding disenrolling students absent for 20 or more consecutive school days.  
  • To assist schools, we have created the attached memo regarding the expectations under Education Law §3202 for school districts about student disenrollment.
  • Included are helpful resources schools can utilize to increase positive student attendance.
