The number of positive COVID-19 cases continues to spike at Victor Central School District, now with more than 170 people quarantined due to the virus, district superintendent Tim Terranova announced Wednesday evening.
One day after Terranova shared that two dozen cases had emerged within the district, he provided an update, stating that as of Wednesday afternoon the district had 28 positive cases, including two dozen students and four adults. He shared the update in a virtual town hall meeting held on Facebook.
The Victor Primary School continues to be particularly hard hit with 17 of those 24 positive student cases, he said. The school houses more than 600 students who are mostly in second and third grade. He said there are very few cases at the district’s other schools.
