Recently released data from the U.S. Department of Education found most college students do not receive special services from their school.

A measure announced Tuesday by Republican U.S. Rep. Marc Molinaro is meant to change that.

Molinaro is backing a bipartisan proposal with the goal of ending barriers and costs for students who have disabilities when they seek access to support services while in college. The measure would also require colleges to inform students, families and members of the faculty about available accomodations for students with disabilities.

The bill includes $10 million in funding for the National Center for Information and Technical Support for Postsecondary Students with Disabilities, which offers information to students and familieis about their rights.
