RCSD must cut additional $24 million from budget

The Rochester City School District needs to cut $24 million more from its 2020-21 budget to adjust for final state revenue figures, the latest and most harrowing chapter in its ongoing nightmare of a financial year.

That almost certainly means further school and program closures beyond those already scheduled for next year. The school board planned to meet Tuesday for a public briefing on the news.
