“Urban Choice Charter School, one of the oldest charter schools in Rochester, will close in June after failing to receive a state renewal.

The K-8 school on Humboldt Street opened in 2005 and enrolls about 400 students. When it submitted its application for charter renewal to the state Education Department late last year, the authorizers declined to recommend that the Regents grant it another term.”
